My recent hike up Ben Cruachan marked an unforgettable milestone in my outdoor adventures—it was my first Munro. I was really nervous in the weeks leading up to the hike, however those nerves were calmed once I arrived at the meeting place and met fellow climbers who were all really friendly and were able to give me some really useful advice ahead of the hike.

The trek was an incredible experience. The views were absolutely beautiful - like being inside a postcard!

The hike was very well organised and there were individuals of all ages, which was a testament to the inclusive nature of the hiking community. Being around such experienced climbers made me feel very supported and safe. Before the hike, a comprehensive kit checklist was provided which meant we were fully equipped and I was also part of a WhatsApp group which was updated regularly.

Everyone was really friendly and it was lovely to be in such good company. Once I reached the summit of Ben Cruachan I was met with such breathtaking views. I felt a strong sense of accomplishment and achievement. I had just climbed my first Munro!

I would wholeheartedly recommend joining Get on Yer Hike to complete your first, second or hundredth Munro or hike! Everyone is so supportive and welcoming and you will have the absolute best time and be taken care of. Thank you once again to Aaron and all the team.
