Buachaille Etive Mòr

Saturday 12th November 2022

Buachaille Etive Mòr is one of the best known and loved of all the Munro peaks. The epic view of the mountain from the main A82 road makes it appear quite unassailable and is one of the most photographed sights in Scotland.

We had three new people (Brayton, Carrington and Chris) join us on this hike and we really enjoyed their company and having them join us.  This was a challenging day weather wise.  It was raining, foggy, cloudy and cold most of the time with poor visibility and little views.  This hike would test the resolve of the hikers and test their endurance and strength.  Despite the weather, the experience was exhilarating and everyone made it safely up and down.

We made a decision to conquer a Munro Top - Stob na Doire at 1011m and leave the two munro's based on the weather and poor visibility.

I've had a lot of problems sleeping with the madness of running a business.  I've been taking herbal kalm sleeping tablets to switch off at night when really all I need to do it more physical exercise. Back to the gym tomorrow for me 👊🏻

"Slept like a log last night got a good 12 hours in. Woke up and legs are like lead.

My alarm was disarmed. I managed a long lie, something I've not had in months.  I've had a lot of problems sleeping with the madness of running a business.  I was taking herbal kalm sleeping tablets to switch off at night when really all I need to do it more physical exercise. Back to the gym tomorrow for me 👊🏻

It was a tough one for sure, weather was relentless. The rain was litrelly running down my legs into my boots. Squeezed about a pint of water from each sock. I took waterproof trousers but never been fussed for my lower half. Next time il stick them on."
